It is dramatic, but it does not come off overdone. The sight of these nails makes me think of one of the times I spent at a rooftop bar in L.A., and everybody there resembled someone that is dressed by a Netflix costume designer. My nails fit right in.

In case you are a beginner then you can use a dotting tool by placing a tiny dot in a shape of a heart then drag it out to a heart shape. It is not very difficult as it sounds.

It may take just one piece of information. This is a coffin set of polish that plays with symmetry, i.e., jet black nails and a single nude nail with a slightly painted black tip. The twist? The converse French type design is a blend of drama and simplicity. It is ordered, vintage and outrageously flattering on longer nails.

I wear bring about Kiara Sky Black to Black and OPI Bubble Bath to peel off this two-colour mix. A nail file and a little patience are all that shape-wise would make you that smooth coffin look. Supply, however, that the tip be angled and at the same time not too rounded.

You will want to do a free hand at that crescent tip on this naked nail, or doom temp hand at a silicone stencil in case you are new in nail art. It’s all about a smooth curve. One coat of one color then another, and then a coat of high-gloss gel on top, and you see how simple it is.

This appearance will work best during job interviews and at dinner, and when you want to make yourself feel like a boss during your daily errands. I have put it on the first date and it always hits the nail on the head: powerful, classy and in fact, a cool outfit.

Matte & Minimalist: Crossed Lines

The cuts of these matte black almond nails are also cut in clean and white diagonal lines, some intersecting, some running alone. It is graphic, almost architectural, which wields negative space and contrast. Similar to pinstripes to the fingertip, except of a soft, velvety finish.

I apply OPI Black Onyx with the Matte Velvet Top Coat by Zoya to create this design. In the case of the lines, you can paint them by hand with a striping brush and Gelish “Arctic Freeze”, or nail art tape will give the lines an exceedingly crisp finish.

Start by applying a matte black nail paint on all nails which must allow them to dry fully before proceeding with the inscription. Next, being careful, paint/tape away the white lines, do not hurry on this part. Seal only the lines in case you wish to leave the rest of the nail matte as it was. Precision = the entire vibe.

I used this appearance on the occasion that I visited New York on the weekend and someone approached me and inquired whether it was a museum collab. Clean design has that effect. It causes people to believe that it is more complicated than it is.

In Love with Contrast

A slick black, adorned with cute white hearts – this ensemble is providing coquettish versus combative. It is such an appearance that can be noticed but at the same time can be worn. The almond nature is so sharp that it is never overrun with the cartoon, providing a balance between the sweet detail and the editorial sting. One of the new love letters, however, in your hands.

It is a nail art unique to the largest payoff considering the way simple it is to do. Apply Beetles Gel Polish, base color, Black and apply the heart with WNL (White Swirl), and the dotting tool provided by DND. Only two dots and vulva swipe = heart.

Get them all black and dry them, and at that point enter with your hearts. Change the sizes to put a witty scramble effect. And add Glossify No Wipe Top Coat and have this ultra-reflective finish.

I used this outfit on a date night and received compliments both by my partner and the bartender. It is girlish, yet without coziness, like the way I prefer my romance.

Negative Space Meets Retro Curve

Now, I want to discuss this moment; slick black confined to all nails except one, say the accent nail? Black and white swirls of a clean nude. It is retro, although there is a now twist to it by the contrast and negative space. It is as though mod art, but with minimalist spirit.

I painted an OPI base of nude and Essie of curves with Licorice and Blanc. When working with a gel, using thin layers is the only way to prevent bulkyness. Allow to dry in between swirls, then pour a top coating of gel to never lose its glass finish.

The curves must be in line with the curve of the nail bed – not too sharp, not too riotous. A striping brush is used to have control and still to leave the flow natural.

Once I attempted the same as a brand event and people actually believed that it was either nail wrap or a press-on. The combination of one artistic nail, one next to glossy black, is really prominent, it is an interruption to the rhythm, but is good.

Optical Illusions in Monochrome

It is a visual thriller ride, black, white and trippy waves, creating the feeling of 3D without the use of chrome. The swirl effect immediately catches the eye and the combination of straight black and white nails in the set keeps the balance at the ground. Assuming that nails had the capacity to DJ at the Berlin Fashion Week, then these were the headline dancers.

Apply OPI in white base of swirl nails which is Alpine Snow and Gelish in black shadow as lines. An elaborate nail drawing brush (such as Winstonia No. 000) is essential in removing such irate curves.

I prefer to pour the white polish and curing it and then draw in the swirls using a pencil or fine line and then proceed with polish. It serves to prevent jerky lines and is able to give the design flow. Get a top coat on top of that and screw your neck.

It is also one of my frequent sets when I need that artsy touch. I don’t know why the high contrast makes even the simplest outfits appear more purposeful – such as, yes, I am that girl.

Soft Matte French Redux

To end this series with a look that will nail (pun intended) the balance: the matte black French tips on the soft nude base, in a coffin shape. Something about this is so sophisticated, so clean, so neutral, so perfect in the amount of drama it brings. It is business friendly but nonetheless a complete vibe.

I applied Apres Gel-X Coffin Tips which was base-coated in the color Bare Pink DND. Thereafter the entire set was covered with Luxa Polish Matte Top Coat. In the case of the French, I used Bio Seaweed Gel Licorice which I hand-painted at the tips. The matte texture is maintained with the use of thin layers to make it smooth.

French nail tip guides can be used in case you do not have a steady hand, though I can assure you it will get better after a few operates. This appearance is immensely comfortable to wear on the daily basis, yet with rings of silver or black clothes? Instant elevation.

I used it during a whole week of meetings and it helped me feel a little more put together. Shiny, yet not dull always my mantra of nails.
